State police in Hollidaysburg have charged Christopher Zacker with animal cruelty after he allegedly admitted to drowning, abusing and killing a cat.

Police say when they arrived on scene, the homeowner told investigators that a man, identified as 41-year-old Christopher Zacker, had allegedly killed her cat.

Troopers say the woman claimed that Zacker had tried to drown the cat and then reportedly "slammed the cat off the ground."

Investigators say troopers then demanded Zacker to exit the residence, at which time he reportedly admitted to killing the animal because "it was making noises."

Upon further investigation, police say Zacker was reportedly "upset" with the animal and threatened to harm it.

Police say, according to the woman, Zacker picked up the 18-year-old, male Tuxedo cat and "slammed it on the floor a couple of times."

Troopers say the woman told investigators that she tried to leave the home with the cat but that Zacker "grabbed it" and "tried to drown it in a bowl of water."

Investigators say Zacker then reportedly grabbed a knife before throwing the animal outside.

According to the affidavit, troopers found the cat lying outside the residence, deceased, and noted that there was a "small pool of blood near the cat's head.
