Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno said King will remain at the Lee County Domestic Animal Services until he is adopted into a loving home.

He also said “I will do everything in my power to make absolute certain Beckham McLeod will not own another animal." "Once convicted, his name will be placed on our animal abuse registry."

According to Lee County Sheriff Carmine Marceno, deputies received a call from a good Samaritan who was recording Beckham McLeod as he stomped and kicked his 9-month-old pit bull named King.

King was taken to a veterinarian for bruising and swelling in his neck area.
