Featured Wendy's Employees Witnessed Dana Snyder Stomp On Her Special Needs Daughter's Face

The manager of the Wendy's restaurant in Brownsburg called police around 6 p.m. Sunday, April 14 to report a woman, later identified as Dana Snyder, dragging her daughter from the restaurant while the child, who has special needs, was screaming for help.

A police officer began talking to the girl, who was crying, appeared to be in pain and vomited. The officer asked her what hurt, and the girl reportedly pointed to her side, where the officer noticed a black shoe imprint on the girl's shirt.

The restaurant employees showed officers surveillance video from the Wendy's dining room. In the video, police say Snyder approached her daughter and tried to pull her arms and hair to get her out of her seat. The girl put her hands up in a defensive posture before Snyder slapped her in the face, arresting documents say.

Snyder reportedly continued to try to pull her daughter out of the seat, eventually dragging her toward the door. Police say she slapped the girl again and put her knee into the daughter's midsection.

The video did not show what happened outside the restaurant, but the workers told police they saw Snyder stomp on the girl's face and body with her foot.

The girl had injuries including scrapes on her elbow that looked like road rash, redness on her arms, stomach and face, red marks on her neck and a red scrape on her face. She also had red or purple marks on her eyelids, as well as a liquid-filled bump on one eyelid.

The girl was taken to Brownsburg Hendricks Hospital to be checked out.

Police did not document the daughter hitting Snyder back, only raising her arms to try and protect herself.

Snyder, 67, was arrested on Sunday evening. She is charged with one count of battery as a Level 5 felony.
