Officials said an Amber Alert was issued Wednesday for Taylor Rose Williams, 5, of Jacksonville.

Taylor's mother, Brianna S. Williams told police that she put Taylor to bed around midnight at their Ivy Street home in Jacksonville's Brentwood area, investigator
Williams told investigators that she did not see Taylor and the back door was open when she woke up at about 7 a.m.

Williams is a petty officer at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, officials said.

Investigators said they are also searching the Paradise Island apartments on Southside Boulevard, where Taylor used to live.

The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office's dive team was called to the apartment complex, and several dumpsters were taken from the complex.

Taylor was last seen wearing a purple shirt and pink pajama pants. She is 3 feet tall and weighs 50 pounds.

Oh @Sugar Cookie

6:00 P.M. UPDATE: Jacksonville Sheriff's Office Asst. Chief T.K. Waters said the search for 5-year-old Taylor Williams will continue into the night.

When asked if Taylor's mom Brianna S. Williams, who is a Petty Officer 1st Class at NAS Jacksonville, is a person of interest in the girl's disappearance, Waters said Williams is "downtown as a mother that's concerned for her daughter."

Got an Amber alert for her earlier today. Curious to know what they aren't saying yet.

Doesn't there have to be a clear indication of an abduction for one to be issued? An open door wouldn't rise to that requirement, I wouldn't have thought.

They took a dumpster from their former apartment complex to another location to search. Wonder who still lives there??

The mother just moved on Sunday and the people she hired off Craigslist to help said they never saw the child. Neighbors are also stating that nobody has seen a child since Sunday when the mother moved to the new place.

Currently being reported that the mother has officially stopped cooperating with the investigation.

Sadly, I don't think Taylor will be found alive.

Edit: now reports are that the little girl has not been seen in weeks...definitely will not end well.

On Thursday, Jacksonville Sheriff Mike Williams said Taylor's mother, Brianna Williams, is no longer cooperating with deputies in the search for her missing daughter. Brianna Williams was the last person to see Taylor alive, police said.

Sheriff Williams said the mother stopped cooperating Wednesday after deputies spoke with her about some inconsistencies in her story.

Brianna Williams is not with the Jacksonville Sheriff's Office and has not been arrested as of Thursday evening.

Oh, shit!

I guess the question now is who the heck would *say* they put their child to bed at midnight when they clearly did not do so!?

This is looking worse and worse as goes on.

JSO said Taylor was enrolled in a day care on base at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, where her mother serves in the Navy, but they do not know when she was last there.

A spokesperson for the base said Friday morning that officials can't comment because it's an ongoing investigation.

As of Thursday night, a Jacksonville detective was headed to speak with Taylor's biological father, Maurice Tate, who lives in Alabama. Family members said he hasn't seen his daughter in roughly two years.

We know Brianna Williams was the last person to see Taylor, and we need for her to cooperate with us in this investigation,” Sheriff Williams said, according to the paper. “We remain hopeful that we will find Taylor. We are not going to stop in our efforts to locate her and there is not one scenario or theory that we are not exploring. Every possibility is being looked at.”

"UFOs, definitely working on that line of inquiry. Gypsies, always suspects; always. Swallows, both African and European, we're looking into that as well. Every possibility is being considered. Hot lesbians wrestling in Jello? I spent some time considering that scenario last night after the wife went to bed. We're not excluding any possibilities at this point."

1) The mother is no longer cooperating with police...
2) JSO is scaling back its search for Taylor...
3) Taylor's Father: "It's been a minute" since he saw the child...
4) Brianna Williams returned to work "really sad" her colleague said...
5) Couple claims they never saw a child

Tiffani Nicole said she and her fiancé responded to a Craiglist ad by Brianna Williams on Sunday asking for help moving into her Brentwood area home from the Southside apartment complex.

While helping her move in, Nicole said she never saw Taylor Williams during the move.

"The strange thing that was off to me was she told my fiancé there was a daughter in the bathroom and he heard water running," she said. "We never saw a child ... we did load up a pink and purple toddler bed."

Detectives are looking into a Craigslist ad that may have been posted by Brianna Williams the day before reporting her daughter, Taylor, was missing.

The poster of the ad states "childcare needed tomorrow" because they were "bailed on."

Brianna Williams’ name is not anywhere on it, but the poster mentions having a 5-year-old daughter, working at NAS Jacksonville, and living on the Northside.

JSO added they’re vetting the now-deleted post but have no information on if it’s tied to the Williams case at this time.

Action News Jax Law and Safety Expert Dale Carson said he has seen suspects use methods like this to cover their tracks.

“You put in an ad for day care, so people immediately assume, ‘Well you’re not guilty of anything,” Carson said.

“That argues that the child was here,” he added. “Why else would you put an ad in the paper for a day care if the child was no longer among the living? You wouldn’t do that, unless you’re intending to deceive people.”

Now that police have said Brianna Williams is no longer cooperating, Action News Jax followed up with the woman who said she helped her move just days ago.

Tiffani Nicole said Taylor was nowhere to be found that day.

She remembers talking with Williams about the move.

“She was like, ‘This isn’t something I really wanted to do. I just have to do it,” Nicole said.

JSO has not named Brianna Williams a suspect or person of interest.

As of Friday night, Crime Stoppers said 16 tips have come in on the Taylor Williams case, while JSO has received more than 100.
